Proposal Daisakusen

This week was hectic. Lots of assignments to do but glad I'm done with them now. I finished watching this jdrama Proposal Daisakusen/Operation Love last weekend.
Finally have some time to blog about it. Warning! Spoilers ahead!

Proposal Daisakusen is about Ken-zou who had known Rei since
primary school. All the years passed without him realising
that Rei is very important to him and that he loves her
very much. He never got the courage to confess to her either.
Now it's too late. Rei is getting married to someone else.
Yes, this is what happens when you don't seize the moment. But
luck is on his side. In the church where Rei is getting married,
Ken-zou meets a not your average fairy godmother
like the one in Cinderella. More like a fairy godfather who
looks like a leprechaun only taller. The fairy allowed
Ken-zou to travel back in time to make amends.

The story is unique and different from the regular love stories. It's a bit tragic but touching as well. Made me cry buckets towards the end of the show...yea I'm easily touched...Anyway, this is definitely worth watching and I officially rank Proposal Daisakusen as the 2nd best jdrama I've ever watched. The first place still belongs to Hanazakari no Kimitachi he.

I've only watched a bit of the Taiwanese version so I can't really compare them. But one thing's certain, the girl is way prettier in the japanese version. All in all Hana Kimi is a light-hearted show and very uplifting. I love the character played by Ikuta Toma, Nakatsu. He's just brilliant!

Absolutely hilarious and expressive! A definite must-watch!

My conclusion, Proposal Daisakusen is consistent through out and has a nice ending. I rate it a 7.5/10. And although I didn't like Hana Kimi's ending, it's still my favourite! 8.5/10 for Hana Kimi! :P

There's Always A First

Over the sea I go usual off to taste better food on the island than the mainland. My friends and I visited PastaMania at Gurney Plaza. This was the first time I ate there. There was a promotion going on where you can get a free soup and garlic bread with every order of a main course and a drink. Quite worth it. There are lots of choices of pastas and pizzas. You can choose the type of pasta you want. I had carbonara spaghetti which was prepared with turkey bacon, egg, parmesan and cream. Loved the cream and parmesan. It was definitely to my taste. Some may not like it because it's a bit dry but if you can bear with that, it's very tasty. I tried Adrian's chicken bolognese spaghetti after having some of the carbonara and I felt that the bolognese was tasteless. Carbonara all the way I'd say. My only complain is that the bacon was hard and very salty. I think it would have been better without the bacon.

My friend's and I also shared a pizza. We ordered the Sesame Coriander Chicken Pizza. It had a soft thin crust which I don't really like. There was a very strong taste of onions and sesame. Definitely not for the faint-hearted. My friend could only manage one slice of it. I'm alright but the taste is pretty pungent. I won't be ordering it again. For me, Domino's still better than this and Pizza Hut's just less choices.

Overall, I'd rate PastaMania 5/10. The spaghetti I had was good, the garlic bread was ok but I've had better ones and the tomato soup that came with the set was thick and I approve of it (I'm not a big fan of tomato soup). The thing I like most about this place is the partial self-service so they don't charge the 10% service charge :)

Too bad I didn't have my camera with no pics of food...

We went to play snooker after that. It was really my first time playing and yea it's fun once you get the hang of it. I still can't believe I got 2 red
balls in! The best part was that I got the black ball in too! Haha...must be beginner's luck! But it's expensive playing at Mega Que Ball. RM15 per hour...ouch...

So there you go...2 more firsts in my life.

A Date With Our Angkasawan

And so there I was sitting with my friends waiting for the astronaut to land at main campus....

taking a few pictures at the same time....but alas! We weren't really that interested to meet him afterall. I mean yea it's cool to meet him upclose and personal but then when you think about it, our country spent so much to send him up into the skies when all that money could have been spent elsewhere and benefit more people. So now we want to explore the skies and learn about the universe. Hello?!! What happened to MSC and biotech?

We're definitely focusing on too many things that we've lost our focus. So anyway, we left just before the astronaut arrived and went to get some dim sum...yummy!

Smart is beautiful

Now that's what I call beautiful! :) I took these pictures during one of my trips to Penang. I've seen a Smart ForTwo and a Smart ForFour but this is the first time I've seen this model. She's gorgeous! Much nicer than her counterparts that's for sure!

Any offers to get me one? Haha... Anyway, I hope to get my blogging habits started again. Got so much to blog about but as you know me...I'm pretty lazy hehe...
