Hong Kong: Kam Wah Cafe

Our first meal in Hong Kong was at Kam Wah Cafe.

Although it was past 2pm, the place was still packed with lunch-goers. We were quickly ushered to our table as we entered the shop. Adrian ordered the kong chai mee which comes in a set with nai cha (iced milk tea) while I had their famous po lo pau, egg tart and nai cha too.

The noodles look like those you get from instant noodles but the char siew (barbequed pork) tastes delicious. A satisfying meal nonetheless.

The po lo pau or pineapple bun was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I really miss this one. They were freshly baked and absolutely tantalizing. You can have it with butter too. As for the egg tart, it had loads of custard just the way I like them.
